Munich/Oberursel, January 2011
Condor, one of the biggest German airlines, continues throughout the year 2011 to fly together with PEANUTS millions of passengers to the most beautiful holiday destinations around the world.
With one flagship of each of the three Condor fleets B757, B767 and A320 featuring eight PEANUTS characters on the livery, the airline promotes since the PEANUTS´ 60th anniversary back in 2010 a large-scale fundraising campaign to support the international charity organization “Luftfahrt ohne Grenzen e.V. – Wings of Help” and puts smiles on the faces of young and not-so-young air passengers. On all other airplanes of the three Condor fleets, Snoopy and Woodstock are incorporated into the Condor logo. Snoopy and the PEANUTS are also displayed prominently on the Condor website and bring fun on board through the in-flight entertainment and onboard program, featured on all cups, cushions, napkins and much more.
With Condor, the PEANUTS gained a dedicated partner who supports “Luftfahrt ohne Grenzen e.V. – Wings of Help” child relief projects throughout 2011 with a portion of their ticket sales and onboard shopping proceeds as well as numerous special events, including an auction of model airplanes featuring the PEANUTS livery. All auction proceeds will be donated to the charity.
“We are proud to have a partner as enthusiastic as Condor on board,” said Gerold Kolenbrander, CEO Team! Licensing. “When a traditional company freely incorporates another brand into its own corporate logo, it is not only paying a compliment to the importance and influence of Peanuts, but also paying tribute to the idea behind each relief operation: Together we are strong!”
Rainer Kroepke, Head of Marketing and Product Management of Condor, comments: “Peanuts and Condor support child relief projects of Luftfahrt ohne Grenzen: That’s the perfect combination of highly-emotional products, holiday flights, and highly-likeable and popular characters for a good cause. As we are a family-friendly airline, children and families have always been a top priority for Condor. Now we are able to make children around the world happy by incorporating Snoopy, Charlie Brown and their friends in this effort.”
The support of “Luftfahrt ohne Grenzen e. V. – Wings of Help” is one of the airline company’s various social commitments. For more than eight years, the charity organization “Luftfahrt ohne Grenzen e. V. – Wings of Help” has been giving medical and operational assistance to international relief operations by providing airplanes, staff and expertise. Through its work, the organization concentrates on helping children in need around the globe. Each penny donated goes to where help is most needed – without any deductions.
